Not really sure why we dislike certain teams -- do we root against uniform, players or both? Probably both. While every college football fan hates their rival, most fans can come together for some community hate.
The top five teams that we all can root against every Saturday:
5. Ohio State

Whether it's Jim Tressel's ridiculous sweater vest, Brutus Buckeye's nonsense or Ohio State just giving us lousy championship games far too often, the Buckeyes are worth rooting against just so we don't have to see them an SEC team after the new year.
4. Alabama

Between Nick Saban being an asshole and a Golden Retriever being able to successfully play QB for the Tide, there's nothing likable about this team. Except the numbers on the helmet. That's pretty cool.
3. Florida

Urban Meyer + Tim Tebow + two National Championships in three years (and maybe more) = a lot of hostility from everyone else.
2. USC

It's always been a running joke that LA still has a professional football team and they wear red and gold. We've actually sorta liked a lot of the players that have come through SC and we don't really have any problems with Pete Carroll. Yet when you win seven straight Pac-10 titles, go to seven BCS bowl games in a row and finish in the top five seven straight years, you're going to have a very big X on your back. And what's up with Will Ferrell and Snoop Dogg? Go make Old School 2 already and stay away from the football field.
1. Notre Dame

We really think our biggest problem with the Irish is that the BCS will do anything to get them into a major bowl game. They could be 10-2, with wins over the regular of Michigan State, Stanford, Navy, etc. and go to a premiere game when you leave the likes of Boise State, TCU and Utah out.
And when Brady Quinn is succeeded by Jimmy Clausen, you really just wanna sock Charlie Weis in the gut for recruiting such pompous pricks.

Ohio State should be #1. Ohio State should definitely be #1.
I'd say USC #1. Rooting against Notre Dame is like rooting against the Knicks in basketball because you hated how dominant they were in the 1970s. It seems like a really outdated thing to do.
SC though? Hey, what ever happened to the Reggie Bush case? I mean, an agent basically admitted that he gave improper payments -- any action NCAA?? Anything?? Nope, didn't think so.
And how is USC STILL a top 10 BCS team!?!? They suffered both an embarassing upset loss and Oregon beat them by like 1,000, but when Iowa loses by 7 on the road without their QB they drop WAY below USC!?!?!
Michigan should be included. And maybe any team coached by Mack Brown. Fucking lobbyist.
HM that's a good point about notre dame, but on the other hand, the media still slobs their knob like they're a perennial power, so it makes them easy to hate. Plus, fatso Weis is so annoying.
Iowa lost at home, crazy person.
USC is despised because it tries to represent itself as more than a sports (in this case, football) college. It's a second tier academic institution in California, but don't ever tell anyone who went there that. Plus, OJ played at SC...Bush was paid to play, and they always squirt the rules .... enough said.
Ohio State has the most arrogant asshole fans
OSU sucks my nutsack
So if lousy bowl games is the criteria for Ohio State, why isn't Oklahoma on this list?
As far as the on-the-field product goes, the Sooners are far worse offenders of all the reasons people blast the Buckeyes for.
ND absolutely number 1, then Michigan, Nebraska. I realize these aren't exactly the most relevant, but the hate goes back a while for me.
We hate OSU because its fans are some of least knowledgeable football (maybe just in general) fans in the nation. Its impossible to go to the Shoe and not bump into 30,000 mustache havin rednecks who take time out from inbreeding to practice spelling their state...2 letters at a time. OH-IO!
We hate USC because all they need to do to get in the top 5 is, well, say they will play football this year. We also hate them b/c of the clone factory that they pull their NFL ready QBs, and for their uni's which are clearly the worst in the nation. Oh yeh, they are in LA too, how can anyone recruit against that?
We hate ND because its fans are clearly the most arrogant in the nation and filled with a laughable sense of entitlement. Is it a coincidence their latest attempt at a coach, Captain Front Butt, mirrors their fans exactly?? And other than Golden Taint, they seem to fill their roster with the world's biggest D Bags. If USC has a clone factory for NFL ready QB's, ND has one for over hyped lamers.
We hate Alabama because their coach is the biggest d*ck in the nation, and because we're actually scared of Alabama being a perennial powerhouse again.
We hate Florida because, like LA, how can our team recruit against that?? We hate them because their coeds put ours to shame. We hate them because yes they play an SEC schedule, but they schedule cotton soft out of conference teams that they then run up the score on. Its no wonder Tebow's stats are amazing, if coach lets you play 80% of the game against the Jr High squad yours would look pretty good too. Oh, and the need for the media to hype Tebow as either, one of, or THE greatest college football players of all time. All in the call for sensationalism. He's not, not even top 5.
The Sooners would like to remind you that they have lost 4 games by a total of 12 points, and would like you to consider including them on your ballot.
I've been to games and met fans from all of the schools on the list, and without a doubt the biggest douches are Ohio State fans. Ohio State is a clear #1.
Charlie Weis didn't recruit Brady Quinn. Try doing your homework before you publish.
My mistake -- Iowa lost at home, by 7, to a winning team. I see now how that is far worse than USC getting destroyed by 20+ and also losing to a 3-6 team.
Oregon.
Nike run propaganda machine.
I really don't understand the OSU hate...
"Whether it's Jim Tressel's ridiculous sweater vest, "
Um, ok. You hate Ohio St. because their coach dresses like a high school gym teacher? Uh, I guess I have no argument against that.
"...Brutus Buckeye's nonsense..."
Every school has a stupid mascot. Do you hate Miami because that stupid bird pulls its beak apart?
"...or Ohio State just giving us lousy championship games far too often..."
I guess "once" constitutes "far too often." Shouldn't Oklahoma ('04) be on this list by that definition? And Nebraska ('01)?
