Square up the shoulders, drive through the ball carrier...

And a fantastic tackle! Helmet sticker for that one.

While these uniforms look nothing alike, we imagine this will be the example cited the next time both teams want to wear dark jerseys.

Note the reaction at the 32-second mark. Fantastic stuff. Truly fantastic!

'He's going to be suspended for doing a thing like that'

Ah, Ron Artest in the Philippines. Great stuff. Turn the volume up. The commentators are fantastic!

"He's going to be suspended for doing a thing like that."
"Oh yes."

They can't teach that stuff...

IT'S A LIVE BALL!!!!!!! (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Football homework next week: learn the rule book.

John Glenn beats Plymouth for the first time ever! EVER!! This is a groundbreaking, win. And a soul-searching loss. WHAT A GAME!!!

And, yeah, give the kid an A. Give all the kids As. High school is hard enough as it is. It's not about grades, it's about learning. And football. High school is about football.

...'And he hasn't had a hit in ever'

This video is so old, so fantastic and so sports related.

Pay close attention to the play-by-play guy. He steals the show!

We've been there too, buddy

Head in hands, on the brink of tears, wanting to punch a hole through a brick wall...just a day in the life of a tormented sports fan.

After Clemson's near comeback against Georgia Tech on Sept. 10, this Tigers fan didn't take the loss well.

Don't worry, friend. They put Virginia on the schedule for a reason.

Jerry Stackhouse plays lazy defense and a hyped college recruit can dunk while getting fouled. Now let's talk about how THIS ISN'T FUCKING IMPORTANT

This is becoming an annoying trend this summer: Pro basketball players are getting dunked on by college kids in SUMMER LEAGUE GAMES THAT DON'T MEAN A MOTHERFUCKING THING and the media and world respond like this is the wildest thing to happen to sports since the forward pass (which, by the way, WAS AWESOME!).

First it was LeBron, and a few days ago it was Jerry Stackhouse. Here's the video so you can see Stackhouse's inspired defensive effort (slide to the hole, Jerry!) on the nifty moves of Kentucky recruit John Wall.

After seeing the video, our thought process went like this in this order:

1. No. 1 on White just broke his ankles. What a move!
2. John Wall is about to be very good.
3. Kentucky is about to be very good.
4. John Wall would probably be a very good pro player.
5. Jerry Stackhouse plays shoddy defense.
6. The Spicy Italian sandwich from Subway is pretty salty.
7. Wonder who the other guys in this game are.
8. Wonder why someone's filming a summer league game.
9. Jerry Stackhouse sorta got dunked on. We guess. Sorta. But he really just fouled him and Wall threw it down anyway.
10. John Wall is about to be very good.

Holy fucking shit, world, THIS IS NOT THAT COOL. If the old NBA eligibility rules were in place, Wall would be playing in the NBA next year. And when one NBA player dunks on the side of another NBA player it makes the highlights. Might be a Top Play. But it doesn't become a VIRAL FUCKING YOUTUBE VIDEO.

Or maybe we are just totally uncool and have no idea what's cool. Probably why we like Chamomile tea and Shark Week on the Discovery Channel.

This can't be real, right?

Holy shit bukkake! That's amazing!

Somehow, Stuart Scott is to blame for this

This is very funny. Like very funny. Probably not good that it happened. But VERY funny!

LeBron slid over late and some kid you've never heard of threw down a dunk that was by no means dunking on LeBron

We hear "LeBron got dunked on" and we want to see balls in LeBron's fucking face. Kinda like this. That video, which was the big blog buzz Wednesday, is hardly James getting posterized. He sorta tried to play defense and the guy simultaneously had a dunk. Not really dunked on. Semantics, we guess.

Meanwhile, this "story" of the video being released, merited four posts from Deadspin today. That seems a bit much, no? We pulled the video from With Leather, which is the only major sports blog without bullshit these days.

It still only counts for 1 point, you fucking assholes

Ooh, we're awfully surly today. Maybe it's because the Giants forgot how to play baseball. Or lack of good porn on the Web lately. (Anyone know what's up with surfthechannelx.com not working right? That shit was a goldmine before it went cold).

The above video, via the wonderful Hot Clicks, is nice and fun and interesting if you like high-school men's volleyball (which is similar to enjoying going down on a girl on her period).

But any editor would have a field day with the video's headline: "Never Ending Volleyball Rally." Well, guess what, asshole, it ends after about one minute and five seconds. There's nothing "never ending" about that.

Perhaps "long," "exciting" or "high-intensity" volleyball rally would be more accurate.

Elsewhere, what's up with "The Neverending Story." Is that still going or what?

I'll give you something to crank

This is what happens when you're a wildly successful receiver at a small-town school that likes football: you get song parodies about you to the tune of Soulja Boy.

The rapper's name is RyZe and he's from Lubbock, home of TTU, where correct spelling is apparently optional. His career is on the fast track much the same as Snoop, Biggie and Tupac. Ideally, so is Crabtree's. There's even an entire website dedicated to the song.

Crank that Crabtree sounds like something one would do alone at night with some Jergens. The song is surely going top-40.

Funny. Not sports. But funny.

The Big Picture Dad with a great find.

High-schooler makes routine shot

An Indianapolis JV player named Teddy Guzek hit a big shot in which was clearly an important game based on the record crowd. From the Indy Channel:
A three-point buzzer beater heaved from 80 feet out made the difference in a high school basketball game in Indianapolis this weekend. It was a close matchup between the junior varsity teams from Bishop Chatard High School and Broad Ripple High School at Broad Ripple Saturday night, 6News' Sports Director Dave Furst reported. Just before the half, Chatard's Teddy Guzek made a last-ditch shot from the other side of the court and made it. It ended up being a critical three pointer for the Trojans, who won the game 26 to 23.
Broad Ripple. In no way does that sound sexual, except that it does.

A way to simultaneously kill Little Miss Piggy, Babe and the Three Little Pigs while having a heart attack

Also very Kosher.

This is the coolest thing that has ever happened in basketball. Ever.

Um, wow! Like super wow! The only thing that was awesomer than that was the time Washington won a lot of games and claimed the National Championship. (That hasn't happened. But if it did, it would be cooler than the play in this video. But not much.)

They're not saying 'boo,' they're saying 'Chiz-ik'

Our pals at Busted Coverage had this good find Sunday of an Auburn fan awaiting the arrival of Tigers AD Jay Jacobs. Auburn fans were plenty pleased to see the dismissal of Tommy Tuberville, but are none too happy about the hiring of a coach who went 5-19 in two years at Iowa State.

Sweet ride, though. And very GQ with that blazer.

That video sorta reminds us of this one, which, has very little to do with college football or tigers, but has plenty to do with princesses and fairy tales.

Just skip the kissing part.

The best thing about the Denver Nuggets

From reader Taylor comes this boner-popping video.

Slow motion and silicone. A match made in Heaven!

Just another day at the track...

I hope "I Don't Give A Shit" doesn't have to get euthanized anytime soon.

(Video contains naughty words. Like fuck. And shit).

So that went well

Just how Mike Singletary envisioned his first game as head coach.

Train. Wreck.
