The hottest team in baseball: the Washington Nationals

Hey, the Nats have won eight straight! Strong work, Washington! Still, they're 32 games under .500. So, as math tells us, they were recently 40 under. Not good. The Washington Nationals are not a very good baseball team. But eight straight!

They've taken care of Pittsburgh, Florida and most recently Arizona. Next up: the Braves.

Washington now knows its role: spoiler. (Or doormat. Probably doormat. Who are we kidding? The Washington Nationals are not a very good baseball team. But eight straight!)

If they go .500 the rest of the way, they will avoid losing 100 games. That is amazing, considering how they were on a pace to be the all-time worst.

As a DC resident I can say that the Nats win streak has done nothing to take away from the local sports radio talking about wether or not Jason Campbell will be good this season. Shockingly the radio station in owned by Skins owner Lil' Danny Snyder.

NFL rookies shouldn't make the league minimum, but they should be subject to a window of time where if they don't sign a contract they get close to the league minimum. Something in the NFL negotiating process needs to change, it's sickening and detrimental.

At least Michael Crabtree has the lowest player value of anyone on this NFL Market..serves him right!
