I read that in Maxim a few years ago that the only two days in which there are no MLB, NFL, NHL, or NBA games are the day before and after the MLB All-Star game....
Minor point of clarification - Monday and today are the only two days each year *guaranteed* to have no major action...there were two dates earlier this year (January? February?) in the middle of the week where there were no NHL or NBA games, with no NFL and before MLB.
Days like today are the worst of the year, even worse than the day after the Super Bowl.
