Oregon's at it again with its "what-the-fuck-are-they-thinking" uniforms.
The photo on the right is the Ducks' standard home jersey. The yellow is gross, but we've been there before. Notice the team name and then the number.
However, last Thursday in a loss to Arizona State, the Ducks got creative and decided to drop the team (or school) name and just have the number. So there's Joevan Catron. Joevan Catron is number 50. There ya go.
I could be wrong but I think the team name might be on the jersey, but printed in very light silver so you can't actually see it.
ReplyDeleteJMC is right, it's there. You just can't really see it. Which makes perfect sense in Nike's world.
ReplyDeleteAt home games do they just go with "Guests" and leave the other side as blank?
ReplyDeleteOr if the jersey does have something on it, maybe the scoreboard could follow suit -- for example, they could use a piece of paper with 10 point type stating "Ducks."
I've noticed this with the names on the backs of their jerseys before, but not with the team name. That is not a good idea. They need to give it a rest with the millions of different combinations and just pick a few decent ones.
ReplyDeleteBarry, just wait till college baseball season...
