Red blazer. Gray slacks. Striped tie. Tan shirt. Was Arkansas coach John Pelphrey dressed by Stevie Wonder?
Gimmicks have a time and place --
a big home game against a top-10 non-conference foe after defeating another top-10 non conference foe is a decent enough one.
But you just fucked with the fashion police, Mr. Pelphrey. We don't judge quality wins, RPI or strength of schedule.
We judge whether or not you look like a motherfucking
lobsterback.
And NC State's Sidney Lowe already did the redcoat thing. And Bruce Pearl dressed like an
oompa-loompa before that. You're behind the curve, pal.
Oh, and Arkansas dominates the Big 12 and all that.
Did you ever consider that maybe in these tough times, Pelphrey moonlights as a movie usher???
ReplyDeleteMaybe the ugly red jacket helps take his mind off that March day in 1992 when he stood with his hands by his waist and watched as Laettner buried the 18 footer in OT.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but didja see that huge smile ol' Red-Jacket had on his mug after whipping Mighty Texas? Priceless!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't see the bad side of it. I think that he tries to imitate someone but it is his style.
